And then, just as you thought it couldn't get any worse... a fly... on the leg... it tickles...
You try to make him go away with your hand, but he keeps coming back. Then, he finds something better - your face and eyes. It makes you crazy. You wave like an old lady who doesn't know how to swim. You're getting crazy. Your blood pressure goes up. All the "short breathing" stuff and cold drinks won't help now. You just get warmer as you wave fearlessly, thinking you will soon win this maniac who fell in love in your face...
Well this time we switched sides. I didn't stop from running after this fly who seems to be very fond of flower's stamens. It was me who couldn't leave his ugly face before taking the wanted shot...

It's boomba :)
Very good picture.
Sefi, those photos of the fly are unbelievable. I don't even have the right words, so I'll just say "Bravo!"
Awesome!
I want a Sigma 150mm too :)
those eyeballs are INSANE!
These are very impressive macro photos! I have the Canon 100mm f2.8 Macro, but can't say I have captured anything close to this impressive. Very nice work!
Excuse my French but Dayum! Those are amazing! No, that's not a good enough word. Let me just say my mouth is still hanging open. That is an awesome macro shot!!
Amazing pictures!
He's closeup eyes look like honey chestnuts... yum!
Brilliant pictures, extra-fine blog!!

fantastic photos!!!
Is is possible to share a bit of your trick? What gears and set up you used to take the fly picture?
No tricks :)
I've used:
Nikon D-70s
Nikon 150mm f/2.8
Nikon SB-800
Flash extending arm
Patience
I've set the flash on the arm, to put the light closer to the object.
I've set the focus and the aperture size beforehand, so I'll have time to compose the photo.
After that, I had to run after it for a long time (very long time). for each movement I had to put it on focus (You get the object in focus by moving forward/backward) and try to compose before it moves.
It took me about 100 photos to get a good shot.
Sorry, I meant Sigma 150 (and not Nikon 150)
:)
